Action: Creating excitement for launch of new Cadbury’s product

Cadbury’s tasked us with creating excitement and conversation around the launch of its new product: Cadbury Dairy Milk Puddles.

Create: Taking over a small village for a brand activation with Puddlestown

For the launch, a small Dorset village was renamed ‘Puddlestown’ and we created a competition that saw 1,505 purple rubber ducks racing down the River Piddle. The winners of the race received an all-expenses paid trip to Cadbury World with their family. To increase media coverage, we set up a dedicated VIP viewing area for media at the finishing line.

As well as the duck race, we brought even more Cadbury joy to the day with a village fete featuring activities and entertainment including a brass band, afternoon tea, balloon artists, face painters and Puddles paddling pools with fishing nets for a ‘fish a duck’ game.

Cadbury’s branding was used throughout the event, with attendees given a purple poncho and flag to cheer on the ducks during the duck race as well as a Puddles goodie bag to take away and remember the experience.
