Action: Using brand partnerships to position Disney’s latest release as must-see Summer family film
Boots wanted to boost sales of its Soltan product around the summer months and create a point of difference against branded competitors. At the same time, Disney wanted to position Incredibles 2 as the must-see Summer family film.
Create: Securing a mutually beneficial brand partnership
We secured a promotional partnership between Disney’s Incredibles 2 and Soltan using Disney IP for the creation of on-pack and in store displays. The campaign included POS activations and displays in 2,00 Boots stores, as well as a takeover of the Boots’ website homepage and banners on the sun-care page. In-store, for every purchase of Bots Soltan, customers received a gift of an Incredibles 2 water bottle, helping to increase sales uplift and share of voice.
Impact: Securing roughly £2m BTL promotional support
- The campaign ran in 2,000 stores with roughly £2m worth of below-the-line promotional support and around £350k above-the-line support, as well as paid investment in the gift with purchase
- The partnership resulted in 265,000 redemptions of the gift over a two month period
