Football Co x Chelsea F.C. - 'Wherever You Go' campaign

Fuse developed a bespoke travel series ‘Wherever You Go' to highlight trivago’s USP and educate the audience on the benefits trivago can offer them when arranging future trips.

Challenge

Trivago approached Fuse and FootballCo with the challenge of utilising and amplifying their content in a way which gave them a voice within the football conversation. They additionally wanted to ensure their content was seen by a highly relevant audience of Chelsea fans and the wider football community.

Solution

A partnership with GOAL across their on-site and social channels including GOAL pre-roll & high impact advertising, Chelsea F.C. player seeded content and on-site integrations via polls & sponsorship. The ‘Wherever You Go’ campaign was split into 3 parts: ‘Travel Diaries’, ‘On the Road’ and VIP competition to see Man City vs Chelsea match.

Outcome

The campaign delivered 42.2m impressions across all placements. This was 18% over the agreed KPI. The on-site media campaign over-delivered significantly on impressions. Across all placements and campaign threads, we drove 9.2m impressions against the KPI of 8.3m.
